PRIVACY

Spring Hill College Library collects some personal information about our users in order to establish user accounts, communicate with users about library services, and to ensure that current Spring Hill College members have the ability to gain access to resources licensed by the College. The Library staff recognizes the vital need to maintain confidentiality and will take every reasonable means to limit the degree to which this information is used or available.

The library assures all borrowers that no information will be given to faculty, students, administrators or other library users about materials borrowed, nor will the library share information about the library activities or library research projects in which users are engaged unless such a request is accompanied by a court order or a subpoena.

This policy is in accord with the American Library Association’s privacy policies and statements, Alabama Code (41-8-9,10) and Federal legislation.
