	Library Subject Headings

		See LC Classification DD 253 - 256.8 (Germany: Hitler and National Socialism) See LC Classification DS 133 - 151 (Jews - Outside Palestine) Link to the Library of Congress Classification site for a list of subject terms. "Controlled Language" is a library concept that simply limits the terms that describe a given subject. For quick access do a "keyword search in the catalog, then view the Subject headings attached to the individual item records. Similar subjects are shelved together so by searching with Controlled Language terms you should be able to retrieve a more robust set of results (i,.e. more appropriate to your research topic. 		Search the Online Catalog for all formats. Journal searches by title will soon be included in the catalog. For now, search Serials Solutions. To find articles in journals use the Databases suggested below. For Videocassettes and DVD's search the Online Catalog or the Holocaust Videos page.

		Encyclopedia Britannica An excellent source for an introduction to this topic.
		The Encyclopedia of Jewish Life Before and During the Holocaust. , Shmuel Spector, editor in chief, Geoffrey Wigoder, consulting editor, foreword by Elie Wiesel. Ref DS135 .E8 E45 2001
		The Jewish Encyclopedia This online version of an early edition predates the Holocaust. Nonetheless it is a very useful resource.

		RAMBI The Index of Articles on Jewish Studies From Hebrew University in Jerusalem, RAMBI is an index to all areas of Jewish studies. Several thousand articles are available in full text. Please ask a librarian for assistance in finding the text of other items.
		Ethnic News Watch Over 2000 publications covering the Ethnic Minority and Native press in the United States.
		New York Times 1851 - 1999 The New York Times (1851-1999) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue
